Hi my name is Sara Jane Nolte and I am originally from the state of New Hampshire in the USA.

I live in Travemünde with my husband and two daughters. We speak English and German together at home.

I really enjoy being a Native English speaker at both Trave Grund und Gemeinschaftsschule and Trave Gymnasium.

Every day I get to speak my native language and help students with their pronunciation and grammer. I also work with students in groups or one on one, sometimes also with whole classes with fun games that help everyone get loosened up and talking freely. Just being there as a support for the teacher, being able to answer questions and getting to know the students has been so much fun.

For me the greatest pleasure in being in the different classes is when the students get past their fear of speaking English in front of their peers and teachers. At least seeing it get easier over time. That for me is a great success.
